Taking on a client that is also a creative peer can be tricky, but working with Geoffrey DeMeritt was as much a joy as it was a challenge.

I worked with Geoffrey on numerous occasions including a project in which I designed and developed his previous website. A few years later after he and I had both matured in our skill set, Geoff came to me again looking to enhance the value of his design, including branding on top of a website redesign.

Rather than starting from scratch, I concluded that we should mature his brand to communicate his photography style and separate him from his local competition. In his logo, I kept the iconography and color scheme derived from the photo he was using as his signature while using a typography that had a more boutique appeal.
